Earn your ASR degree and begin a career in radiography
The five-semester Associate of Science in Radiography (ASR) degree program combines classroom instruction with extensive clinical experience into a two-year schedule. Graduates of the ASR program complete the requirements necessary to take a certification exam through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists to become a Registered Radiologic Technologist. Students in the ASR program also have the opportunity to be dually enrolled in the Bachelor of Health Sciences program.
Southwest Baptist University-Springfield Campus provides conveniently scheduled general education and science prerequisite coursework for all its degree programs, as well as a wide array of courses for adult learners who desire to begin or continue their education. General education coursework is offered in both traditional classroom settings and through online courses. Students in general education courses benefit from experienced professors in small classes.
The University offers a science incentive program to radiography students. If you take the prerequisite science coursework through SBU, you can earn up to $375 per semester of tuition credit toward your radiography degree for up to four semesters.
The Radiography degree is offered through SBU's College of Health Professions.
